报告摘要:
In this seminar I will review our work on quantum sensing, quantum vision and quantum biology. In particular, I will discuss atomic magnetometers, and describe our recent work on spin correlations pertinent to such sensors. Then I will present biological magnetic sensing, which is about a new synthesis called quantum biology. It turns out that Nature has already produced quantum sensing technology, and I will present our recent work using quantum coherence quantifiers for understanding quantum biological sensing. I will also briefly talk about our work on quantum vision, which is yet another approach towards synthesizing quantum science with life science. I will then elaborate on the future possibilities of synthesizing quantum with biology.

Kominis教授毕业于希腊雅典国立科技大学电气工程专业,并在美国普林斯顿大学取得博士学位。在普林斯顿大学和美国劳伦斯伯克利国家实验室从事博士后研究,从2004年开始在希腊克里特大学工作并成为长聘副教授。主要研究领域是量子传感、量子视觉和量子生物学。Quantum Biometronics公司创始人,致力于融合量子科学和生命科学的产业化研究。Kominis教授是量子磁场测量学和量子生物学的奠基人物,发表论文包括一作《自然》正刊、学科TOP期刊在内共计56篇,总引用次数超过5600。
