At 14:00, October 27th, Orietta Pelizzari, one of the most famous international fashion consultants from Italy, delivered a lecture at the classroom B4-410 in ZUST. This time, Orietta Pelizzari came to ZUST in the name of a guest professor of NABA. There was not a single vacancy at the scene. The theme of the lecture was -- Fashion Film: Brand Story. Firstly, Orietta Pelizzari introduced "what is fashion" and "what is film," as well as the link between fashion and film to the students. She also talked about the reason why there were so many fashion brands preferring to interpret their brand's core culture through storytelling. Then, she showed the students some film clips which wereshot by Peter Lindbergh and Prada. After that, she pointed out the close relation between film and fashion industry through analyzing the character setting, makeup, lighting effects, shooting techniques and fashion background as well as other factors of the videos. Those refreshed the students’ traditional perceptions of fashion and film. Finally, Orietta Pelizzari suggested that students from design majors should often watch some fashion films as many as possible, which would providea great deal ofinspirations for their design works.
After the lecture, Orietta Pelizzari also had a free exchange with students. And all the students at the lecture benefited a lot.
