“ZUST-SIA Silk Road International Institute” is an overseas educational institution jointly organized by Zhejiang University of Science and Technology (ZUST)and Sabah Institute of Art (SIA) in December 2020, which will combine and give full play to the distinctive discipline features and characteristics of the two educational institutions. It closely focuses on the talent needs of the "Belt and Road" strategy, and therefore carries out technical skills training and academic education. In the first phase, the "Chinese language+3D printing skills" training program for Applied Physics will be designed and launched, and gradually other programs related to computer science and technology, data science and big data, artificial intelligence, art, business etc., will be further implemented accordingly. Academic and degree education at both bachelor and master levels will also be explored and added, so as to build a comprehensive talent training structure to cultivate high level application-oriented talents for both China and Malaysia.

“ZUST-SIA Silk Road International Institute” was successfully selected among the first batch of “Silk Road Institute” listed by Department of Education of Zhejiang Province and Department of Commerce of Zhejiang Province in June 2022, and successfully witnessed the launching ceremony on September 27, 2022. “ZUST-SIA Silk Road International Institute” will give full play to its role as a platform and window to tell "China story", "Zhejiang story" and "ZUST story".
