At 10:00 a.m. on October 18, 2020, the opening ceremony of the 7th International Cultural Festival of Zhejiang University of Science and Technology was held in the west of Crystal Theater, where Chinese and foreign teachers and students gathered together. The event was held on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the University. It not only celebrates the 40th birthday of the school, but also serves as a bridge for international exchanges and cooperation, so that Chinese and foreign students can better get integrated into Zhejiang University and become friendship envoys of cross-cultural exchanges.

The opening ceremony was attended by Party Secretary Gong Jianli, deputy party secretary Fu Ningping, Deputy Party Secretary Zhou Jiamin, vice president Feng Jun, Secretary of Discipline Inspection Commission Lu Aihua, vice president Wan Jian, Party committee members Jiang Wen and Li Qipeng, and deputy ambassador of Embassy of Zimbabwe in China Mqabuko Spencer Dube.

This International Cultural Festival is to celebrate the 40th ZUST anniversary, display international culture, promote and inherit the world's excellent national culture, enhance cultural exchanges between Chinese and foreign students and to highlight the international style of our school through the display of national culture.
